Pancha Koshas Outdoor Aerial Retreat
Welcome to Pancha Koshas 7-day Aerial Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh, India! This retreat is designed to help you disconnect from the stress of everyday life, and connect with your mind, body, and soul through the practice of aerial yoga. Rishikesh, known as the yoga capital of the world, is the perfect destination to immerse yourself in the practice of yoga and meditation.
Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Ceremony
We meet up at the designated meeting point where you will be greeted by our team and transferred to the retreat center at Mastkhal, a quaint little village about 60 kms from Rishikesh. We will start with a welcome ceremony, where we will introduce you to your fellow retreat participants, your hosts and the teachers and provide you with an overview of the schedule for the week. This evening, we will have a relaxed introduction session followed by some team building exercises/games.
Day 2: Introduction to Aerial Yoga
Today we will start with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will hike to a nearby temple where we will have an outdoor session on introduction to the practice of aerial yoga, including the benefits and safety precautions. We will also learn some basic poses and techniques that will prepare us for the upcoming days. In the evening, we will have a guided meditation and pranayama (breathing) session.
Day 3: Exploring Aerial Yoga
We will begin the day with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, for those who are interested, we will have a short session on organic farming, to be conducted by our homestay host. Post which, we will explore different types of aerial yoga poses, including inversions, backbends, and twists. In the evening, we will have a sound healing session with Tibetan singing bowls, which will help us relax and release any tension in the body.
Day 4: Aerial Yoga and Chakras
Today we will start with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will explore the chakras, or energy centers, in the body and how aerial yoga can help balance them. We will have a chakra-balancing aerial yoga class in the afternoon. In the evening, we will have a kirtan (chanting) session, which is a traditional form of devotional singing.
Day 5: Aerial Yoga and Ayurveda
We will start the day with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will learn about Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, and how it can complement our aerial yoga practice. We will have an Ayurvedic cooking class in the afternoon, where we will learn how to prepare healthy and nutritious meals using Ayurvedic principles. In the evening, we will have a restorative aerial yoga session to help us relax and rejuvenate.
Day 6: Aerial Yoga and Nature
Today we will start with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will take a nature walk to explore the beautiful surroundings of Rishikesh. We will have an outdoor aerial yoga session, where we will connect with nature and practice some aerial yoga poses in the open air. In the evening, we will have a bonfire and share stories and experiences from the week.
Day 7: Aerial Yoga and Integration
On our final day, we will start with a morning aerial yoga class, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will have a closing ceremony, where we will reflect on our experiences from the week and set intentions for the future. We will have a final aerial yoga class, where we will integrate everything we have learned and experienced during the retreat. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner to celebrate the end of an amazing week.
